Today is the anniversary of the death of the NOTORIOUS B.I.G. (BIGGIE SMALLS), real name, CHRISTOPHER GEORGE LATORE WALLACE.

The rapper was raised in Brooklyn, New York where he grew up and began to sell drugs at a very early age. It was in 1944 that Christopher released his album, READY TO DIE, and became one of the worlds biggest rap icons on the hip-hop scene. 

On 9th March 1997, BIGGIE SMALLS was killed in a drive-by shooting in Las Angeles. His album “READ TO DIE” was released just 15 days later and was certified DIAMOND in the year 2000.
